Lincolnville Center Holiday Market

Lincolnville Center Holiday Market will be held on Saturday, November 18th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Community Building located at 18 Searsmont Road, Rt. 173, in Lincolnville Center. The event is sponsored by the United Christian Church (UCC), organizers of the popular Lincolnville Center Indoor Flea Market.

The Holiday Market will feature local crafters, antique dealers, farmers and artists offering a full array of unique and affordable products including handcrafted wooden utensils, jewelry, knitted hats, rag rugs, up-scaled re-purposed items, vintage seasonal decorations, antique curiosities, and value-added farm products. Church members will have several tables loaded with ornaments, puzzle, games, toys, and gift quality items as well as sweet and savory baked goods and take-home meals.

You’ll find something special for everyone on your gift list and bring home a delicious meal and dessert all while supporting the local economy and the ongoing UCC ministries which includes the maintenance of the Community Building and the historic 1821 Meeting House. It is one of the few Maine Meeting Houses which is an active, year round community church. All welcome.

Strawberry Festival

The Strawberry Festival is our annual fund-raiser and a day of family-oriented entertainment for the whole community. Invite your friends and family to participate, contribute, and most certainly to attend the festivities! Doors open at 9:00 am. The parade is at 10:00, followed by music, food, children’s games and fellowship until 1:00 pm. It starts with a parade up Main Street to the church grounds, featuring among others (it varies), a bagpiper, fire engines, a non-scary clown, and a miniature horse.

Children can decorate their bikes at the library and ride them in the parade, too. It’s never the same from year to year; but there are always strawberry shortcakes and pies, hot dogs with Ruth’s famous relish, and a table of baked goods and preserves. For kids there are indoor crafts, entertainment, and outdoor activities. Music is provided by the Lincolnville Band and local musicians.
